Fall TV Update: ABC Finally Reveals Its Monday Game Plan

ABC has gingerly laid down the final piece of its Fall TV schedule — just five days before autumn actually arrives.

When it was announced that Season 32 of Dancing With the Stars would air Tuesdays at 8/7c, beginning Sept. 26, to be followed by Season 5 of Press Your Luck (starting Oct. 10), armchair TV executives got to wondering: What will air on Monday nights then?

And the answer is…. more Monday Night Football!

The network on Monday added 10 MNF simulcasts to the schedule, joining the 10 previously announced simulcasts. The updated lineup is as follows…

  • Browns at Steelers (September 18, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN+, ESPN Deportes) *previously announced as an ABC telecast

  • Eagles at Buccaneers (September 25, 2023 – 7:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN+, ESPN Deportes) *previously announced  as an ABC telecast

  • Seahawks at Giants (October 2, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Packers at Raiders (October 9, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Cowboys at Chargers (October 16, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • 49ers at Vikings (October 23, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Raiders at Lions (October 30, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Chargers at Jets (November 6, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Broncos at Bills (November 13, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Eagles at Chiefs (November 20, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes) *previously announced as an ABC simulcast

  • Bears at Vikings (November 27, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Bengals at Jaguars (December 4, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Packers at Giants (December 11, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN+, ESPN Deportes) *previously announced as an ABC telecast

  • Chiefs at Patriots (December 18, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN Deportes)

  • Ravens at 49ers (December 25, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN+, ESPN Deportes) *previously announced  as an ABC telecast

  • Lions at Cowboys (December 30, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes) *previously announced as an ABC simulcast

  • TBD (January 6, 2024 – 4:30 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes) *previously announced as an ABC simulcast

  • TBD (January 6, 2024 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes) *previously announced as an ABC simulcast

  • Super Wild Card Game (January 15, 2024 – 8:15 p.m. – ABC, ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes) *previously announced as an ABC simulcast

  • Divisional Playoff Game (January 20 or 21, 2024 – TBD – ABC, ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes) *previously announced as an ABC simulcast

The following Monday Night Football games will not be on ABC:

  • Saints at Panthers (September 18, 2023 – 7:15 p.m. – ESPN, and ESPN Deportes)

  • Rams at Bengals (September 25, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ESPN, and ESPN Deportes)

  • Titans at Dolphins (December 11, 2023 – 8:15 p.m. – ESPN, and ESPN Deportes)

And thus completes ABC’s schedule for the Fall TV season. (View the complete Fall TV grid here). Wednesdays are a veritable game night with Celebrity Jeopardy! (at 8 pm), Celebrity Wheel of Fortune (9 pm) and $100,000 Pyramid (10 pm), and Bachelor Nation is invading Thursdays with The Golden Bachelor (8 pm) and two hours of Bachelor in Paradise (9 pm).

Shark Tank is staying put on Fridays (8 pm), leading into trusty 20/20, and Sundays features the new season of America’s Funniest Videos (7 pm) followed by The Wonderful World of Disney aka movie encores (8 pm).
