Fall TV is back, baby! And to help you keep tabs on it all, TVLine presents its famously handy calendar (and it is a calendar) of September and October premiere dates.

Going to (masked but in-person) school on last year’s very odd bird of a pandemic-delayed rollout plan, this year’s fall slate is as rrrrobust as ever, offering up prestige cable fare, streaming series and movies, and (sometimes quickly) returning broadcast favorites.
Herewith is our calendar of September and October dates (including Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s series ender and a few other finales), as well as not one but two tinted boxes that A) highlight November’s big premieres and 2) remind you of everything that is on hold for midseason.

THE WONDER YEARS (ABC)
This reboot of the nostalgia-driven, award-winning comedy follows a Black middle-class family living in Montgomery, Ala., in the late 1960s. Like Kevin in the original, 12-year-old Dean (played by Elisha “EJ” Williams) is the central character; his commentary as an adult (via narration provided by Black Monday‘s Don Cheadle) reflects on the family’s experiences amid watershed moments in the Civil Rights Movement, the Vietnam War and beyond. The cast also includes Dulé Hill (Suits, Psych), Saycon Sengbloh (In the Dark), Laura Kariuki (Black Lightning), Milan Ray, Julian Lerner (Yes Day) and Amari O’Neil.
QUEENS (ABC)
In the 1990s, the Nasty Bitches were legends in the hip-hop world. But now, the four members of the all-female musical group are in their 40s and estranged. What better conditions, then, for them to reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and swagger? The cast includes Eve (Eve), Brandy (Moesha), Naturi Naughton (Power), Nadine Velazquez (My Name Is Earl), Pepi Sonuga (Famous in Love) and Taylor Selé (P-Valley).
OUR KIND OF PEOPLE (Fox)
The latest drama from Empire‘s Lee Daniels is set in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard, an area historically known as a playground for wealthy and powerful Black elites. Enter Angela Vaughn (Chicago Med‘s Yaya DaCosta), a single mom on a dual mission to make a mark with her revolutionary haircare line and reclaim her family’s name. But when she discovers a dark secret about her mother’s past, both her life and the community may never be the same again. The cast also includes Morris Chestnut (The Resident), Joe Morton (God Friended Me, Scandal), Rhyon Nicole Brown (Empire), Lance Gross (House of Payne, Star), Kyle Bary (Ginny & Georgia), Nadine Ellis (Greenhouse Academy) and Alana Bright; Debbi Morgan (Power, All My Children) will be a recurring guest star.
ORDINARY JOE (NBC)
James Wolk (Watchmen, Zoo) plays the titular character in three different forms — Sliding Doors-style — after he makes a pivotal decision at a crucial moment in his life. One reality follows Joe after basing his choice on love, another after he uses loyalty to decide, and a third after passion guides his decision. The cast also includes Natalie Martinez (Under the Dome), Charlie Barnett (Arrow, Russian Doll) and Elizabeth Lail (YOU).
NCIS: HAWAI’I (CBS)
The latest NCIS offshoot sets up shop in paradise as Jane Tennant (BH90210‘s Vanessa Lachey), the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor, oversees a team that investigates high-stakes crimes involving the military, national security and the Aloha State itself. The cast also includes Yasmine Al-Bustami (The Originals), Jason Antoon (Claws), Noah Mills (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, The Brave), Tori Anderson (No Tomorrow) and Alex Tarrant (800 Words, New Zealand’s Vegas).
LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE (The CW)
In this “reimagining” of the Nickelodeon game show, five teams of adult contestants will battle each other to enter Olmec’s Temple, locate a treasure and restore it to its rightful place without catching the notice of the Temple Guards. Fans of the original, prepare to enjoy some of your favorite elements, including the Steps of Knowledge and the Temple Run. Cristela Alonzo (Cristela) will host, with Dee Bradley Baker returning as the voice of Olmec.
LA BREA (NBC)
The sudden, violent appearance of a massive sinkhole rips one Los Angeles family in half, separating mother and son from father and daughter — with the former finding themselves tossed into an inexplicably primeval world with a group of strangers. Can they work together to survive? And is there even a way back home? The cast includes Natalie Zea (The Detour), Eoin Macken (The Night Shift), Jon Seda (Chicago P.D.), Nicholas Gonzalez (The Good Doctor), Veronica St. Clair (13 Reasons Why), Jack Martin (All Rise), Rohan Mirchandaney (Hotel Mumbai), Chiké Okonkwo (Being Mary Jane), Josh McKenzie (Filthy Rich), Chloe De Los Santos (Tidelands), Zyra Gorecki and Lily Santiago.
GHOSTS (CBS)
Rose McIver (iZombie) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Brockmire, The Mindy Project) star as a struggling couple who inherit a gorgeous country home (yay!) only to realize that it’s a money pit (boo!) and haunted by a bunch of people who lived there before (BOO!). The cast also includes Brandon Scott Jones (The Good Place).
FBI: INTERNATIONAL (CBS)
The newest offshoot of Dick Wolf’s CBS franchise focuses on the FBI’s International Fly Team, which circles the globe to track and tamp down threats against Americans in any country. The twist? The Fly Team isn’t allowed to carry guns, so its members have to be smarter (and sometimes physically stronger) than any challenges they face. The cast includes Luke Kleintank (The Man in the High Castle, Bones), Heida Reed (Poldark), Vinessa Vidotto (Lucifer), Christiane Paul (Counterpart) and Carter Redwood (The Long Road Home).
CSI: VEGAS (CBS)
Fans of the original procedural will be thrilled to see Gill Grissom, Sara Sidle and David Hodges back in action in Sin City. As for viewers new to the franchise, CBS likely is hoping that they’ll be drawn in by the premise: A major threat is poised to bring down the entire Crime Lab and release thousands of convicted killers back on the streets. The OG CSI-ers will work together with a new team — led by Maxine Roby (Chicago Med‘s Paula Newsome) — to use the latest forensic techniques to serve justice. In addition to William Petersen, Jorja Fox and Wallace Langham (and guest star Paul Guilfoyle), the cast also includes Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights, Kingdom), Mel Rodriguez (The Last Man on Earth) and Mandeep Dhillon (After Life).
THE BIG LEAP (Fox)
In this body-positive dramedy, Scott Foley (Scandal, Whiskey Cavalier) stars as the executive producer of a competition reality show looking to cast a modern production of Swan Lake. The show-within-a-show attracts a group of underdog dancers who lack the body type commonly associated with ballet but whose passion for the art form is leaps (jetés?) and bounds above anyone else’s. The cast also includes Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs), Teri Polo (The Fosters), Mallory Jansen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Kevin Daniels (Council of Dads), Ser’Darius Blain (Charmed), Ray Cham (Five Points), Jon Rudnitsky (Catch-22) and Simone Recasner.
ALTER EGO (Fox)
In Fox’s new twist on a musical reality competition, singers come up with dream avatars of themselves, then have their performances created via motion-capture. The intent, per the series’ official logline? Contestants will “be given the chance to show how they’ve always wanted to be seen” as they hope for a chance to become major vocal star. The judges’ panel consists of Alanis Morissette, Nick Lachey, Grimes and will.i.am; Rocsi Diaz hosts.
THE ACTIVIST (CBS)
The Eye network’s newest competition series has six activists working with three “high-profile public figures” (per the logline) to effect change in the fields of health, education and environment.
4400 (The CW)
When 4400 marginalized people who disappeared inexplicably over the last hundred years suddenly reappear — all without any idea of what the heck happened to them — the government scrambles to keep the situation quiet. Meanwhile, the returnees struggle to understand why they’ve not got abilities they previously didn’t possess, and why they’re alive at all. (And if this premise sounds familiar, it’s because it’s based on USA Network’s four-season series The 4400, which aired 2004 – 2007.) The update’s cast includes Joseph David-Jones (Arrow), Brittany Adebumola (Grand Army), Jaye Ladymore (Chicago P.D.), Amarr Wooten (American Housewife), Cory Jeacoma (Power Book II: Ghost), Derrick A. King (Call Your Mother), Khaliah Johnson, TL Thompson, Ireon Roach and Autumn Best.
