Fall Showcase Concert at First Baptist Church in Oak Ridge

After a large and enthusiastic crowd at the Sunday Labor Day concert in A.K. Bissell Park, the Oak Ridge Community Band is trying something new – a Fall Showcase event.

Community Band followers are familiar with the band’s annual Showcase Concert held every January and because of its popularity, the band decided to schedule a Fall Showcase performance. This will be held this Sunday, Sept. 17, 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church, 1101 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

Other groups in Sunday’s event are the Flute Choir, Woodwind Choir, the Brass Ensemble, and a flute and oboe duet.  This concert promises to be another delightful and fun performance and shouldn’t be missed! As always, there is no admission fee, but donations are gratefully appreciated to help with band expenses.

After Sunday, the Community Band’s next performance will be the Fall Concert scheduled for Oct. 29.
