The ‘Fall Guy' Post-Credits Scene Is Actually Worth Sticking Around for

When the dust settles on David Leitch’s The Fall Guy—literally, since we see about 250 explosions over the course of the film—just about everyone has a fitting ending. Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling) and Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt) rekindle their relationship, Moreno premieres Metalstorm’s trailer at Hall H (it’s a big deal!), and the world finally knows that Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is, you know, a murderer.
In other words: For a big-budget action movie, The Fall Guy has enough restraint to hold back from a blatant sequel tease—and there’s certainly no tried-and-true post-credits scene...right? Wrong! The Fall Guy does, indeed, have a post-credits scene, and it actually is worth sticking around for. Especially since you’ll see some behind-the-scenes footage of the film’s stunt work on the way. Now bookmark this story and save it for later if you don’t what to know what happens in The Fall Guy’s final moments.
Okay. The scene opens with two cops who are tasked with finally arresting Ryder and Metalstorm’s producer, Gail Meyer (Hannah Waddingham). Who play the cops? None other than Lee Majors and Heather Thomas. The actors are the original stars of The Fall Guy, a TV series that ran on ABC from 1981 to 1985. Lest you thought Leitch’s The Fall Guy was original IP! Nope. He remixed the TV series, about a stuntman (Majors) who worked as a bounty hunter in his downtime. It’s sweet to see The Fall Guy’s original heroes, looking young as ever.
Back to the scene: Ryder isn’t taking the threat of prison time well. He pulls out his phone, hoping to nab a signal in the middle of the Australian wilderness. The actor wanders into a field of pyrotechnics, and...boom! There goes Ryder. His assistant, Alma Milan (Stephanie Hsu, with criminally little screen time), makes a phone call: She wants Jason Momoa to take Ryder’s place in Metalstorm. A slightly downbeat ending to such a fun film, but sure!
David Leitch and/or Ryan Gosling, if you’re reading this: Can The Fall Guy 2 simply show Metalstorm in its entirety?
