Fall Out Boy announces Des Moines tour stop at Wells Fargo Arena with Jimmy Eat World

“Dance, Dance” when pop rockers Fall Out Boy take over the Wells Fargo Arena with alternative-rock band Jimmy Eat World next April.

The Grammy-nominated act comes to Des Moines April 3 on their So Much For (2our) Dust, which kicks off in February with more than 20 dates. The tour is a continuation of this year’s So Much For (Tour) Dust.

The “Centuries” and “Thnks fr th Mmrs” band previously played at the Wells Fargo Arena in 2018. In January, Fall Out Boy shared on their social media accounts coordinates with a reference to the classic Iowa movie “Field of Dreams,” where a box was later found in Dyersville, Iowa. that contained a note signed with “P.S., P.W., J.T. and A.H. Fall Out Boy.” Those are the initials of the band members.

Fall Out Boy originated out of Illinois in the early 2000s and now boasts more than 26 million monthly listeners on Spotify and numerous chart toppers, including one of their earliest — and recognizable — songs, “Sugar, We’re Goin Down.” They’ll be joined by Jimmy Eat World, the band behind the enduring hit “The Middle.”

Select shows on So Much For (2our) Dust will also feature rock band The Maine, emo-punkers Hot Mulligan, duo Daisy Grenade, pop-punk act Games We Play and singer-songwriter CARR.
