Faith Evans remembered The Notorious B.I.G. as being “honest.” Evans was asked about her late beau during a recent conversation with the Marriage or Mirage podcast. The hosts asked her what she loved about the emcee the most, to which Faith spoke of his sincerity.

“Everything. I loved everything about him. He was honest. You understand? One thing about him, even at that young age — honest,” she said, glowing with joy. “Yo, I respect it. I can’t take nothing else. B.I.G. is the ni**a like, I [asked him], ‘Did you f**k her?’ He’d be like, ‘Yeah.’ And I’ll be like (visibly taken aback).”

She added, “Honest as f**k. Most of the time, I didn’t know what was going on, but when I did, I asked him, and he told [me] the truth. And then I’d be like, ‘You know I’m a f**k her up, right?'”

Biggie and Faith met at a Bad Boy Records photoshoot in 1994. The couple quickly hit it off and married after knowing each other for a week. Faith Evans and the Notorious B.I.G share one child, Christopher Jordan Wallace Jr. — who was born in 1996. However, their relationship wasn’t always the most pristine. B.I.G.’s infidelity plagued the pair’s union, as he often cheated with Lil’ Kim and Charli Baltimore.

Biggie met Charli, a Philadelphia model/aspiring rapper, at a party in 1995. B.I.G reportedly fell in love with Baltimore, and Faith soon found out. During a radio interview at the time, Evans infamously detailed Baltimore as the “Illy from Philly.”

During a 1997 VIBE interview, The Notorious B.I.G. provided insight into the love triangle. He insisted that he would always be friends with her and could probably “get back together” in a decade.

“People was like, ‘When she stopped f**kin’ with B.I.G., she started f**kin’ with Tupac, and B.I.G. started f**kin’ with Lil’ Kim.’ That’s the summary of the Biggie Smalls/Faith sh*t right there. But we wasn’t f**kin’ with each other way before the rumors popped off.”

“I married her after knowing her eight days, and I was happy,” he recalled. “That was my baby. At the same time, with us being so spontaneous, we did it backwards. Maybe she won’t admit it, but I will. We should have got to know each other and then got married . The relationship kind of dissolved, but we’re still going to be friends. I love her. We have a baby together, and we’re always gonna love our kids. Who knows? Ten years from now we might even get back together.”

However, The Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down in Los Angeles on March 9, 1997. He was 24.
