Exploring the Shanghai Streetwear Landscape
If this past month is any indication, the Shanghai streetwear scene is on the brink of exploding into something big. Over these last couple of years, the vibrant city has become one of the leaders in influential streetwear culture, which was on full display earlier this month at Shanghai Fashion Week. A city getting its own set Fashion Week that is internationally known and locally respected is always a sign of major things to come, and similar to what we’ve done with Milan, London, and Melbourne, we’re exploring some of the best Shanghai streetwear shops to explore for when you’re in the city, along with some designers and influencers to check out.
Shanghai’s street culture is a wonderful blend of art, technology, and fashion. Below are some of our favorites.
5. Invincible

Invincible has all the basics needed to cover your streetwear needs from Nike to Converse, but they also have their Invincible apparel which is equally as cutting edge. Additionally, the brand has collaborated with quite a few of the heavy hitters over the years (Paradise Tokyo, WACKO MARIA, and WTAPs to name a few), showing their potential as a brand.
8. Spot Skate

Spot Skate is an off the wall little basement spot in Shanghai that features merch from both big named brands, and the local ones exclusive to Shanghai.
Our very own Erika Lee was kind enough to send over some really dope content creators in Shanghai streetwear scene that are doing some awesome stuff.
