The Georgia Department of Public Health, Environmental Health Section, conducts regular restaurant inspections to help keep residents and visitors safe.

The following is a list of restaurants in Richmond and Columbia counties that have been inspected between Dec. 5 and 11, accompanied by their scores and, in some cases, the health infractions that lowered those scores.

"Observed expired beef being held in walk-in cooler. All foods must be maintained in good condition."

"Observed a lot of buildup accumulation on baffle inside the ice machine. Clean. Increase cleaning frequency."

"Observed cleaning product stored next hand washing sinks. Cleaning product needs to be stored separately in one location."

"Observed cleaning towels soiled sitting on prep-top. Ensure sanitizer buckets are being properly used to store used towels."

"Observed scoops being stored in containers. Scoops must be stored outside of containers."
