‘What You’re Experiencing Is Fixable,’ Dr. Phil Tells Woman With Extreme Anxiety

Caitlin says she once lived a normal, happy life with a successful career and a happy marriage. But since her mom died of pancreatic cancer in July 2021, she says she has debilitating anxiety, won’t leave the house, and has an overwhelming feeling that she’s dying. She says she’s diagnosed herself with 23 illnesses and has been to the hospital over 160 times in the last year. “What you’re experiencing is fixable,” Dr. Phil says to Caitlin. “It hasn’t been that long since you were really different. The best predictor of future behavior is relevant past behavior, and you’ve got a long history of being really different, and a short history of being this way.” In the video above, Dr. Phil tells Caitlin how she can start to get her behavior under control.
