What to expect from the 2024 Celebration at the Station concert:

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Are you looking for a fun activity to do for Memorial Day weekend this year?

Well, you’re in luck because the Bank of America is hosting ‘Celebration at the Station‘ — a free concert open to the public Sunday evening on the North Lawn of the World War I Museum and Memorial, and the South Plaza of Union Station.

50k expected for ‘Celebration at the Station’

About 50,000 people are expected to spread out on the grounds and attend the free concert, hosted by Jim Birdsall, on Sunday.

According to the KC Symphony, 20 local food trucks and vendors will begin their services at 4 p.m. followed by a pre-show concert with live performances from A La Mode and the Roots in Blue Air Force Band.

Then, the main act will start at 8 p.m. with patriotic songs from the Kansas City Symphony, including crowd favorites ‘Armed Forces Salute,’ the ‘1812 Overture’ with live cannons, and a grand finale featuring a stunning fireworks display.
