Despite holding a strong fanbase and having critical acclaim, Amazon ended The Expanse after its sixth season. In fact, this was the show’s second ending as the series was originally produced by SyFy, but got canceled after 3 seasons. Fortunately, Amazon picked it up after a huge fan outcry and demands from celebrities such as Wil Wheaton, Patton Oswalt, and even George RR Martin. But the streamer only launched 3 more seasons before ending things again.

However, it is possible for the series to get picked up for Season 7 by some other network in the future because it has exhibited high-quality storytelling so far. But fans shouldn’t hold extremely high hopes for that to happen.
