‘The Expanse’ Season 4 Gets Premiere Date – See the First Footage Here (Video)
Oye, Belters: “The Expanse” Season 4 is real, and it has a release date: The acclaimed science fiction series will launch globally Dec. 13 on Amazon Prime. The news was announced to a packed room of fans during the show’s panel at Comic-Con 2019.
Along with the launch date, fans were also treated to the first teaser for the upcoming season — watch that above — plus a full, very cool scene from the upcoming season. Watch that at the bottom of the page.
Panelists included cast members Steven Strait, Wes Chatham, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Cas Anvar, Dominique Tipper and Frankie Adams, as well as executive producers Naren Shankar and Ty Franck.

Chatham shared a funny story about the moment the cast learned the show was saved. They were at a space conference, with real astronauts, when Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos — who was also in attendance — announced onstage that Amazon had acquired the show. The cast leaped out of their seats and began hugging and high-fiving one another, and random nearby people. One of the people, who Chatham said was nonplussed by the display, was one of the few who have been on the moon. “I realized it was Buzz Aldrin,” he said.
Per Amazon, Season 4 of “The Expanse” begins a new chapter for the series with the crew of the Rocinante on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars and the Belt. Ilus, the first of these planets, is rich with natural resources but also marked by the ruins of a long dead alien civilization. While Earthers, Martians and Belters maneuver to colonize Ilus and its natural resources, these early explorers don’t understand this new world and are unaware of the larger dangers that await them.
