With the opening of the Cedar Park location, Texas will officially have six locations.

As countless SXSW attendees busy themselves with panels and screenings, Ramen Tatsu-Ya will spend that hectic March weekend preparing to open its sixth Texas location.

The new restaurant will open Monday, March 13, in the Lakeline Market Shopping Center of Cedar Park. The location is Cedar Park's first Tatsu-Ya and Austin's fifth.

The new spot will have the same menu and hours — 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily — as all other Tatsu-Ya locations.

“Over the last 10 years, the Tatsu-Ya team has been inundated with requests for restaurants in growing areas of Austin, especially further south and further north," said Tristan Pearman, brand and development vice president, in a statement. "We opened our fifth ramen shop in The Oaks at Slaughter for our fans in South Austin last summer. Our new Lakeline location will be convenient for ramen lovers living north of Austin, especially in Cedar Park and Leander areas."

Customers can enjoy not only the minichain's signature ramen but also a covered patio, a large outdoor seating area and a mural from local artist Michael Sieben.

The Cedar Park opening comes on the heels of Tatsu-Ya's recent anniversary.

“Tatsu-Ya celebrated 10 years in business last September, so timing felt right for this expansion,” Pearman said. “We’re excited to bring our ramen to Cedar Park and the surrounding communities.”
