ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Outlaw Johnny Black clip from Michael Jai White’s upcoming Western movie. The film is set to release exclusively in theaters on Friday, September 15.
What is Outlaw Johnny Black about?
“Hell bent on avenging the death of his father, Johnny Black vows to gun down Brett Clayton and becomes a wanted man in the process,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “He goes into hiding, posing as a preacher in a small mining town that’s been taken over by a notorious Land Baron.”
The clip shows the titular character pretending to be a preacher when he is approached by skeptical gunmen at a local saloon, leading to a tense back-and-forth.

Outlaw Johnny Black is written, directed, and led by Michael Jai White. It also stars Anika Noni Rose, Erica Ash, Byron Minns, Kym Whitley, and Tony Baker. It was produced by Donovan De Boer, Michael Jai White, and Grant Gilmore.
