EXCLUSIVE: Jewel talks about her Crystal Bridges exhibit

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Jewel, singer-songwriter and poet, has made a stop to Arkansas to showcase her art exhibit at Crystal Bridges.

Jewel discusses how the three areas of her life have helped her create her exhibit “The Portal: An Art Experience.” She said that people travel through three realms every day: the inner realm, the seen realm and the unseen realm.

“This whole experience is designed using art to help you get to know what your three spheres are,” Jewel said.

The exhibit has traditional art and new technology. “The Portal: An Art Experience” has a choreographed 200-piece drone light show.

“For me, this whole exhibit is about helping people realize that when we change new things can grow in our life,” she said.

Jewel helps run the Inspiring Children Foundation, a non-profit helping at-risk youth in Las Vegas.

Jewel speaks about her challenges as a single mom going on tour, learning new techniques and much more in the video above.

“The Portal: An Art Experience by Jewel” can be seen at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art from May 4 through July 28, 2024. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for kids 11-18, and free for kids 10 and under. Information about dates and tickets can be found on the Crystal Bridges website.
