First Look at 'The Talk' Halloween Costumes, Including Julie Chen as 'Chinese Madonna'

The hosts of The Talk are having a rock star moment. Yahoo TV has an exclusive look at the ladies’ Halloween costumes for the Oct. 30 episode and — to steal a line from Tamar Braxton — they are snatched.

Similar to years past, the hosts went with a theme, but it’s more rock ‘n’ roll this year. Look no further than Julie Chen brilliantly pulling off Madonna and Sharon Osbourne as Sia for proof of that. (At least we think it’s Sharon. It really could be anybody under that bangin’ platinum wig.)

Sara Gilbert looks virtually unrecognizable as Céline Dion with that long mane. Sheryl Underwood as James Brown sounded like a stretch until we saw this angle, which is pretty spot-on. Aisha Tyler may be the weakest link of the group as Beyoncé, but only because she’s about six inches taller than the Queen.

The co-hosts shared their inspiration with us for their lip sync competition, which is guest-emceed by Joey Fatone and judged by the studio audience (as well as at-home viewers with #TeamFirstName tweets that also enter you in “The Talk Halloween Sweepstakes”).

Julie Chen as Madonna

Chen on her “Express Yourself”-era version of the Material Girl, complete with monocle: “I wanted to be Chinese Madonna my whole life.” Mission accomplished!

Sharon Osbourne as Sia

Rock star wife Osbourne on why she picked the quirky Australian singer from “Chandelier”: “It was my chance to see those gorgeous little girls dance.”

Sara Gilbert as Céline Dion

Gilbert — who is also married to a rocker, Linda Perry — on channeling her inner ballad blaster circa “Power of Love”: “I thought: She’s so different than me. I can’t sing or dance. So I got to do something funny.”

Sheryl Underwood as James Brown

Underwood on earning her stripes as Brown: “I had to embody the Godfather of Soul — I have the moves, I have the grooves.”

Aisha Tyler as Beyoncé

Tyler on rocking the shiny robot glove for Bey’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and a barely-there bodysuit: “I’m in a typical, very skimpy Beyoncé thing. I’m just going to try not to have a wardrobe malfunction.”

Hey, wardrobe malfunctions make for good TV. So do clever Halloween costumes — and lip-syncing co-hosts.

The Talk airs weekdays at 2 p.m. ET, 1 p.m. CT/PT on CBS.
