Ex-Tyco International headquarters building in Exeter sells for $46.9 million

EXETER — The building that once housed the corporate headquarters of Tyco International has sold for $46.9 million.

Real estate development and investment company Torrington Properties purchased the 263,000-square-foot building at 100 Domain Drive in Exeter from Period Realty Trust. The Boulos Company in Portsmouth brokered the $46,930,000 sale on behalf of the seller.

The building is currently home to Bauer Hockey, a hockey equipment and apparel manufacturer, FH Cann & Associates, a financial recovery firm, Digital Prospectors, an IT staffing company, Garnet Hill, an online purveyor of high-quality garments, and Vapotherm, a medical device manufacturer.

Torrington Properties recently acquired 100 Domain Drive in Exeter, a 263,000-square-foot commercial, retail and medical office building, for $46.9 million.

Plans for the building at 100 Domain Drive

The building offers unique, flexible commercial space including office, manufacturing areas and high-bay warehousing. The company plans “to modernize the building and breathe new life into its common areas, fitness facility and café,” according to a press release issued by the company.

The building is located in the same business park area as Lindt & Sprüngli, Timberland and UPS. The location is situated directly off Exit 12 on Route 101, about 2.5 miles from Interstate 95.

Originally built in 1984, 100 Domain Drive was the former corporate headquarters of Tyco International, a producer of optical and electronic components at the time, until it vacated the space about 20 years ago.

The acquisition by Torrington Properties comes on the heels of the company purchasing Newington Park Shopping Center for $13.3 million in 2021. The property at 2026 Woodbury Ave. includes Savers, JOANN Fabrics and Crafts and Party City, as well as restaurant spaces.

Founded in 2014, Torrington acquires, develops, and manages a wide range of properties in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, including multi-family, office, industrial, retail, hospitality and student housing.
