A teaser trailer for the demonic possession movie When Evil Lurks has been unveiled ahead of its Midnight Madness premiere at TIFF.
The trailer for the IFC Films and Shudder production shows the effect on an Argentinian village as it deals with an outbreak of demonic possession. The majority of the teaser sees a man cautiously driving through the dark until he comes across some possessed residents.

The movie is written and directed by Demián Rugna, who won acclaim for Terrified, his previous movie collaboration with Shudder. It stars Ezequiel Rodríguez, Demián Salomón, Silvina Sabater, Virginia Garofalo, Paula Rubinsztein, Luis Dziembrowski
When Evil Lurks premieres at Midnight Madness on September 13, 2023. It then gets a theatrical release on October 6, 2023 before finally landing on Shudder on October 27, 2023.
