Everything Leaving Netflix in August

Now is as good a time as ever to settle in and binge to your heart’s content, especially with so many TV shows and films poised to leave Netflix this month. To help you prioritize, we’ve compiled a list of every title set to disappear from the platform in August.

Among the shows on the way out are the teen sitcom Sister, Sister, starring real-life twins Tia and Tamera Mowry; the animated series Winx Club, centered on a unique Earth girl with magical powers who attends a school for fairies to hone her skills; and Scream, the small-screen adaptation of the popular movie franchise.

On the film side, you have until the end of the month to catch Angelina Jolie as a fugitive spy in the action-thriller Salt. The supernatural horror movies Paranormal Activity and The Ring are also due to depart the streamer soon, as well as the 2019 romantic drama If Beale Street Could Talk, starring KiKi Layne, Stephan James and Regina King.

This classic sitcom — about twins who were separated at birth and reconnect as teenagers — ran for two seasons on ABC as part of the famed TGIF lineup before moving to the WB for the remaining episodes. Jackée Harry and Tim Reid also starred as the girls’ respective adoptive parents, and Marques Houston portrayed their annoying neighbor Roger.

Inspired by the popular films of the same name, this serialized anthology followed a group of teenagers who were stalked by a masked killer. The first two seasons were set in the fictional town of Lakewood, Louisiana in the aftermath of a cyberbullying incident that led to a brutal murder (which stirred up haunting memories of a past crime spree). Season 3 took the action to Atlanta, with Ghostface tormenting a local football star.

This historical drama centered on the Knights Templar, a covert military organization of warrior monks tasked with guarding the Holy Grail as well as any secrets that were deemed a threat to the Catholic Church. The large ensemble included Thomas Cullen (Becoming Elizabeth), Jim Carter (Downton Abbey), Pádraic Delaney (The Tudors) and Mark Hamill.

In this family-friendly animated series, Bloom is an ordinary girl with magical powers who attends the Alfea School for Fairies to refine her skills. It is only with the power of six Enchantix fairies standing together that they have a fighting chance to save the universe.

With help from his friends (Mark Addy, Paul Bettany and Alan Tudyk), he enrolls in tournament jousting — the pinnacle of gallantry at the time — and must learn whether he has what it takes to become legendary.
