And with one final show, the 2024 awards season (will soon) come to a close.

The 96th Academy Awards are just a few short days away and the night promises to be an epic evening filled with A-listers, fun, music, funny commentary and heartfelt speeches.

The Emmys, the Golden Globes and the Grammys have all come and gone. But now it’s time for the biggest show of them all.

The 2024 Oscars will showcase the best of 2023’s films, including “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” — a k a last summer’s hottest movie ticket “Barbenheimer” –– as well as “Poor Things,” “American Fiction” and “The Holdovers.”

The Academy announced this year a new category titled Best Casting. However, that statuette will not be given out until the 2026 Oscars.

There will be a few milestones at Sunday’s show, with composer John Williams being nominated for his record 49th Best Score Oscar for “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

This year’s Best Picture roster has two non-English movies up for the award for the first time.

Germany’s Holocaust drama “The Zone of Interest” and the French film “Anatomy of a Fall” are both in the running to win.
