Start chilling your Cosmo glasses: And Just Like That... is officially gearing up for season 2 and it looks like the second go-round is going to answer some questions raised in the first season.

After a successful (and, at times, polarizing) season 1, Max greenlit the Sex and the City spinoff series for a second installment in March 2022. Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will all reprise their roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York Goldenblatt, as they continue to navigate their lives in the Big Apple — or is Miranda in L.A.?

While you wait impatiently for the next season, here's everything to know about And Just Like That season 2.

What is And Just Like That... season 2 about?

Details about the main plot lines were kept supremely under wraps, but Parker told Entertainment Tonight, "Season 2 is about resilience and rebound and laughter, and finding laughter more easily for people who might have experienced grief. [And] more of our cast members who we love."

In a teaser trailer released on April 26, fans got a sneak peek into some of season 2's plot lines (explored more fully in the longer trailer dropped on June 1, above).

Carrie, who lost her longtime love John James Preston/Mr. Big last season, has been "having a lot of 'exit out of grief' sex." "It's just sex," she quips, also noting that "life's too short not to try something new."

It also appears Charlotte and Harry (Evan Handler) will continue to deal with their daughter Lily's choices, as the teen says: "I'm ready to lose my virginity," to their chagrin.

Miranda also teases "a big step up" for her relationship with Che following her separation from her longtime husband, Steve (David Eigenberg).

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Outside of the three main characters, some fan favorites will be joining the cast. The most hotly anticipated of the comebacks is perhaps the return of John Corbett as Aidan Shaw. Once Mr. Big (Chris Noth) died of a heart attack in season 1 and newly widowed Carrie began dating again, fans of the show immediately started campaigning for the hunky carpenter to make a comeback.

In 2021, Corbett jokingly sent fans into a frenzy when he announced he'd be in season 1 of the series. "I think I might be in quite a few [episodes]," he told Page Six. "I like all those people, they've been very nice to me." Naturally, people were disappointed when he didn't appear in the series at all.

Murmurs of his return started floating again and SJP finally confirmed we'd be seeing Aidan in season 2, telling Entertainment Tonight, "Well, you know, I can't be like, cryptic about it anymore."

Months later, Parker and Corbett were spotted sharing a big smooch while filming scenes of the upcoming season in N.Y.C.

"This. Is. Not. A. Drill. X, SJ," she wrote in an Instagram post sharing photos of herself and Corbett getting into character.

The official And Just Like That... Instagram account also shared some snaps from the shoot, captioning the post, "And just like that Carrie is back on her tip toes."

Though fans were excited to see the broody carpenter back in the show, questions about the nature of his relationship with Carrie naturally bubbled up, given the fact the he was married when we last saw him in Sex and the City 2.

"I would not make Carrie Bradshaw a home-wrecker. That's the biggest leak I can give you. That's not the story," King assured during an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "The story is [they're] open for business. They're both single. You know how she's single. You don't know how Aidan's single."

Also coming back is Sara Ramírez, who played the non-binary Che Diaz in season 1 (and recently teased some behind-the-scenes fun on their Instagram). Though their character was often the subject of a lot of criticism, this time around we're going to get to know a bit more about the oft-polarizing comic.

"One of my burning passions about season 2 is Che," King told Variety. "I want to show the dimension of Che that people didn't see, for whatever reason — because they were blinded, out of fear or terror. I want to show more of Che rather than less of Che. Like, really."

As far as what their storyline is going to look like, details are still being kept on the down low, but Ramírez told Variety, "The first season was judging a book by its cover, and season 2 is about reading the book."

Additionally, Kim Cattrall is returning to the Sex and the City-verse!

After years of formidably saying she would not return to the franchise, it seems the 66-year-old actress heard the fans' cries and will be making a cameo in AJLT's season 2 finale, per Variety. (Cattrall seemingly confirmed the news on June 1 by sharing the pub's story on Instagram with the caption, "Happy Pride.")

In the scene, Cattrall’s Samantha Jones will reportedly speak to Carrie on the phone. No word on what the now-estranged gal pals will be discussing.

According to Variety, Cattrall filmed the cameo on March 22 in New York City “without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series” including Parker, Nixon or Davis. Nor did she reportedly interact with series creator Michael Patrick King. However, she was dressed by former Sex and the City designer Patricia Field for the appearance.

Nicole Ari Parker will also be returning as fashionista powerhouse, Lisa Todd Wexley. She told Us Weekly that fans should expect Lisa's unrivaled sense of style to return in season 2, stating, "the fashion will be there and the fun will still be there."

Sarita Choudhury — who plays Seema Patel, Carrie Bradshaw's real-estate-agent-turned-friend — is also coming back.

Parker and Choudhury were seen deep in character on a rainy day in New York City back in January.

Both wore casual garb with black salon robes and towels around their necks, implying that their wet hair had less to do with a rainstorm and more to do with them stepping outside before their blowouts in the scene.

Yes. And Just Like That... season 2 will be welcoming a familiar new face: Sam Smith.

After the five-time Grammy winner shared some behind-the-scenes photos on Feb. 22 from the New York City set of And Just Like That..., PEOPLE confirmed that the "Unholy" singer will be featured in the upcoming season.

"Up to something unholy on set," they captioned an Instagram carousel of some backstage flicks. The post was also shared by the Max show's Instagram profile.

They peeked outside their trailer door and shot the peace sign in one photo, posing in a director's chair for another.

It's unclear whether the Gloria artist will play themself or an original character.

The teaser trailer also showcased three new cast members: Victor Garber, Oliver Hudson and Gary Dourdan, though it's unclear what roles the three actors will be playing.

Production for the second season has actually wrapped.

To commemorate the big feat, Sarah Jessica Parker posted an Instagram pic featuring her castmate Nicole Ari Parker whom she sweetly kissed on the cheek in a semi-blurry shot.

"Wrap parties = kissing. But not goodbye," Parker wrote before complimenting her costar and the rest of the show's crew. "@nicoleariparker you ALWAYS smell so good. @justlikethatmax a season of love. Crew, cast you were ALL heavenly. X, Your SJ"

In October 2022, Parker posted a picture on her Instagram showcasing a cargo jumpsuit, a killer pair of heels and an oh-so-Carrie pigeon clutch by J.W. Anderson. "First exterior. Streets of NY. X SJ," the caption read.

She was later photographed smiling from ear to ear while shooting the scene in question with Davis.
