Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence, who’s engaged to Cooke Maroney, the man she was first reported to be dating last summer.

Lawrence’s rep confirmed her happy news, but for the most part, information about Maroney has been in short supply.

Here’s everything we know so far:

He’s approved by her BFF.

Lawrence’s close pal Laura Simpson introduced the pair, according to Page Six TV. And they really are close.

Simpson is the woman J.Law reached for when she tripped on the red carpet at the 2014 Oscars.

Lawrence was also one of 25 people who attended Simpson’s May 2016 wedding in Italy. So it makes sense that J.Law would be open to someone that Simpson introduced.

He’s artsy.

Maroney is based in New York, where he’s a director at the Gladstone Gallery’s Upper East Side location, Gladstone 64. Their client list features Matthew Barney, the former husband of musician Bjork, Richard Prince and Carroll Dunham, the father of actress Lena Dunham.

A Medium profile on Maroney’s parents suggests that he comes by his passion for art honestly, because it describes his father, James Maroney, as a private art collector.

He’s closer to her age than her latest loves.

Lawrence, 28, is five years Maroney’s junior. Before dating him, her plus-one was director Darren Aronofsky, who’s roughly 22 years older than her. Lawrence’s exes also include Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, 41, and X-Men actor Nicholas Hoult, 29.

He’s a social guy.

Maroney understands Lawrence’s many work functions, such as the Oscars and the Golden Globes, movie premieres and galas. Page Six TV reports that he’s often seen at “high-end art openings,” so he’s got a lot of events to attend, too.

He’s a world traveler.

Since Lawrence and Maroney’s relationship has been confirmed, the two have been photographed together in Paris and Rome.

Of course, the couple’s stepped out in New York City, too, where they were reportedly spotted earlier this week celebrating their engagement at iconic New York City bistro Raoul’s.
