Don't say au revoir to Emily in Paris just yet!

Following the release of season 3 in December 2022, another season is already in the works.

Netflix announced the show's double renewal for seasons 3 and 4 in January 2020, a month after the cliffhanger season 2 finale aired.

"VERY exciting news… @emilyinparis is back for Season 3… AND wait for it, Season 4!!!!!" Collins wrote on Instagram at the time. "I can't tell if Emily would love or hate this announcement outfit but she'd be screaming either way. Truly love you all, thanks so much for the incredible support. Seriously cannot wait for more. Merci Beaucoup!!…"

The recent season sees Emily Cooper (Collins) make a life-altering decision to stay in Paris full-time, while also juggling her work life and love life.

Though we still have a while to go until season 4 premieres, we already have a good idea of what's in store for Emily and Co.

Who is starring in Emily in Paris season 4?

It's likely that most of the original cast will return for season 4, including Collins (Emily), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Ashley Park (Mindy), Camille Razat (Camille), Lucien Laviscount (Alfie), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie), Samuel Arnold (Julian) and Bruno Gouery (Luc).

What will Emily in Paris season 4 be about?

The fourth installment of the series will pick up after the “dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding,” according to an official synopsis.

“Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed. At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shakeups,” the synopsis reads.

Mindy, meanwhile, is preparing for Eurovision with her band, “but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty.”

Season 4 also sees Emily and Gabriel begin to work together on his restaurant in the hopes of earning it a “Michelin star,” and their “chemistry is undeniable.” However, “two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of.”

In addition to featuring Emily's life in Paris in the new season, during Netflix's Tudum: A Global Fan Event in June 2023, Collins also teased that her character will go on "a Roman holiday" as well.

When did Emily in Paris season 4 film?

The new season was initially set to start filming in the late summer or early fall. However, in June 2023, Variety reported that "filming has been delayed by two months due to the writers strike."

Filming was originally supposed to take place at the Cité du Cinema studios, but since they have been booked up for the Olympic Games since November, Emily In Paris will be shooting at Studios Monjoie instead. All film shoots are banned in Paris to accommodate the Olympics from June to September.

On Dec. 5, 2023, director Andrew Fleming shared a sneak peek of the script for the first episode of season 4 on Instagram, writing, "On y va! Saison Quatre of Emily!" which translates to "Let's go! Season 4 of Emily" in English.

On Jan. 19, 2024, Netflix shared that season 4 was officially in production as Collins shared a glimpse of her script.

When does Emily in Paris season 4 premiere?

In May 2024, the cast revealed that the upcoming season would split into two parts. Part 1 is slated to drop on Netflix on Aug. 15, followed by the second half on Sept. 12.
