Drake (née Aubrey Graham) took to Instagram to share rare photos of his 2-year-old son Adonis Monday morning which set the internet ablaze — who is the boys’ mother Sophie Brussaux? And the quest to answer that question led us down a few drama-filled rabbit holes trying to decode rap lyrics that might give insight into his relationship with the mother of his son, but we’ll spare the convoluted he-said-she-said and tell you what we know…

Sophie Brussaux, 30, was born and raised in France and is a former porn star who used to go by the name Rosee Divine during her adult film career. Brussaux, however, has now turned to art and is going by the name Sophie B.

According to Brussaux, in the bio featured on her website, she is “an award-winning and published artist who combines her fascination for cultural & social paradigms with a love of colorful pop-art & symbolism.”

“Sophie is also the founder and artistic director of ArtsHelp, a not-for-profit organization that provides a publishing platform for artists of all arts globally, who are making a difference through their craft.”

“She has become renowned for her vivid use of acrylics, oils, spray paints, palette knife,” Sophie’s bio reads, “She has exhibited in formal and informal places ranging from art-loving nightclubs to museums in cities like NYC, Dubai, Toronto, London, Milan, Paris, and more.”

Drake and Braussaux reportedly met while he was in Amsterdam in 2017 and when first told he was to be a father the rapper didn’t deny the news but wasn’t so sure. A representative for Drake told E! News, “If it is Drake’s child, which he doesn’t believe it is, then he would do the right thing by the child.”

Months later Drake publicly announced he was, in fact, a father in an interview for the HBO Sports show The Shop saying, “I have a son, he’s a beautiful boy.”

Drake and Sophie’s son Adonis, now 2-years old, made his Instagram debut on his father’s IG account in a series of candid photos.

What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all. Trust that you have all of the power within to make this happen, and in order to do that connect to the people and things that bring you a lot of joy. When the mind starts to move into overthinking or fear, shift your attention right away to something bright. It doesn’t matter what has happened in the past or what is happening around us now, you can always make the choice to break free of the wheel of suffering and panic and open up to your own light. We are powerful manifestors , so once you make the choice in the moment to shift your awareness to something good, it will show you in your reality. Be conscious, especially right now of fears coming in from others, and recognize that not everything should be held by you. Laughter is your best medicine, but tears can also be a powerful release. Let go of any judgment you may have around that. Remember that you are never alone, and if you need to be reminded of that ask for support and it will show up. Everything comes down to intention, and even though there are conflicting energies circling around us you must KNOW…It will rebuild. But in order for that to happen, you have to do exactly that. Trust. You have the biggest heart and that is your greatest gift. It’s impossible to always control your surroundings, but when you shift the focus to how you want to feel, everything will conspire to assist you. I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on. 🤍

Beautiful words, Drake’s caption is a much-needed reminder, especially now, to believe in our own power and not let fear win.
