Why is “Big Brother 25” premiering later?
“Big Brother” usually premieres in late June or early July, as it did the past two years, but Season 25 was delayed to buy CBS’ some time with the ongoing writers’ strike. Like every network, CBS has adjusted its schedule as scripted series remain out of production (if you recall, the winter “Big Brother” season happened in 2008 because of the writers’ strike). An August launch and a 100-day season mean Season 25 will conclude on Nov. 9 instead of late September. Season 22 also premiered in August in 2020 due to COVID-19 and wrapped in late October.

Who is in the “Big Brother 25” cast?
You can check out the 17 new houseguests in the gallery above. They include a Deaflympics gold medalist, a political consultant, an Australian DJ and a professional flautist. And oh yeah, a “Survivor” alum for the first time, Cirie Fields, who was the surprise 17th houseguest revealed in the final moments of the premiere… and is competing with her son, Jared Fields. There’s another “Survivor” connection: Cory Wurtenburger is the younger brother of “Survivor” Season 42 contestant Zach Wurtenburger.

During the first week, Luke Valentine was expelled from the game after he said the N-word during a conversation on the live feeds.

When will “Big Brother 25” air?
“Big Brother” will retain its typical TV schedule of Wednesdays at 8/7c, live evictions on Thursdays at 9/8c and Sundays at 8/7c when it premieres. But that will all change in the fall. Click here for its TV schedule breakdown.

What is the theme of “Big Brother 25”?
The multiverse. Because everyone’s gotta have one at this point.

What are the new twists of “Big Brother 25”?
Well, the multiverse is one. That was unleashed by alums Danielle Reyes, Britney Haynes and Frankie Grande, who broke in with the Time Laser to change the outcomes of their respective seasons. But it backfired, transforming the house into four multiverses: Comicverse, Humiliverse, Scaryverse and Scrambleverse. There’s also the heretofore unseen Nether Region, where one houseguest stays for an unspecified amount of time. And what happens in the Nether Region stays in the Nether Region because the houseguest cannot talk about it when they return.

Who will host “Big Brother 25”?
Julie Chen Moonves, duh.

Are the live feeds back?
Obviously. They’re on Paramount+ and for the first time, Pluto TV.

When will Season 25 end?
Thursday, Nov. 9. The finale is scheduled to be two hours long, starting at 8/7c.
