The race is on.
As the 2020 field of presidential candidates continues to narrow, the solid remaining contenders have A-list supporters who’ve been vocal about who they want to see as the next president of the United States.
From Oscar winners to internationally known pop stars, see who is on team Donald Trump, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and beyond.
The current president, who was impeached by the House of Representatives on Dec. 18, 2019, on the charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress in connection with his Ukraine scandal, has his status as commander-in-chief hanging in the balance. Then, on Feb. 5, Trump was acquitted Wednesday by the Senate.
Only one Republican, Utah Sen. Mitt Romney — a former Republican presidential nominee — joined with Democrats in voting to convict and remove Trump from office. The president continued to insist he did nothing wrong, despite the case against him
Despite the current chaos surrounding Trump and his administration, the 73-year-old still has some famous supporters on his side. His most well-known ally is rapper Kanye West.

To make sure his fans knew where he stood coming into 2019, West sent out a string of tweets to set the record straight. “Just so in 2019 you know where I stand,” he tweeted before posting three dragon emojis and writing, “Trump all day.”
He also opened up about his love for the president in a March 2020 interview with the Wall Street Journal, saying that — although he doesn’t follow politics or is registered to vote — he would’ve voted for Trump in 2016. He added that they “are both dragon energy.”
In May 2019, actor Jon Voight also pledged his allegiance to the president and tweeted out a two-part video to share why Trump has been “the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”
Voight followed up the impeachment vote by tweeting another video in support of the president, called “In God We Trust”.
In the clip, the actor claims that “if the impeachment proceeds, America will fall — for President Trump has built it back and the extreme left are destroying this nation’s glory.”
The former vice president has director Rob Reiner on his side. The 72-year-old expressed his stance in a tweet, writing, “We have a great field of candidates running for President. We should be supportive of them all. But if ever there was a time in our nation’s history that we needed someone to restore our soul & standing as leader of the free world, it’s now. Joe Biden will do that on day one.”

“HES A Honest Kind Civil Man.He Has Some amends to Make,But I know him & Belive in him,” she added in another tweet.

Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin shared his requirements for who the next president should be, only to drive home that Biden is the candidate for him.
Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic for HBO
“The main things I want in a nominee, however, are twofold: (1) someone who can beat Trump, and (2) someone who would actually be a good/ great president,” Martin wrote in his blog in May 2019. “Biden qualifies on both counts. Also, the speech he gave announcing his run was kickass… and so, so true. I wish him well.”
One of Biden’s earliest supporters is Olympic ice skater Michelle Kwan. She shared her excitement after he had initially announced that was running on Instagram, writing, “I’m thrilled that @joebiden announced that he’s running for President!”
“Ultimately, I believe that the Vice President is the ideal candidate to unify our country with his experience, knowledge and track record of fighting for Americans,” she continued, before adding, “Most importantly, VP Biden has a reputation for getting things done – from implementing the most comprehensive and progressive investments in our nation’s infrastructure and clean energy industries, to writing the Violence Against Women Act, to taking on the the NRA and winning (twice!). He’s the candidate that I’m proud to support because he will do what it takes to restore the soul of this nation, rebuild the backbone of the country, and unify America.”
Three months ago, I entered the race to defeat Donald Trump. Today, I'm leaving for the same reason. Defeating Trump starts with uniting behind the candidate with the best shot to do it. It's clear that is my friend and a great American, @JoeBiden. pic.twitter.com/cNJDIQHS75— Mike Bloomberg (@MikeBloomberg) March 4, 2020
New Edition founder Mike Bivins said Monday he was endorsing Biden, according to the campaign.
“We need someone in the Oval Office that will fight for everyone,” Bivins said in a statement, in part. “We need Joe Biden who has spent his entire career calling out and tackling systematic racism and has always fought and delivered for every community no matter their zip code, race, or income. Joe Biden has the experience of getting things done. He is the bridge we need in our society right now.”

On March 16, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour made her own statement on supporting Biden. Her remarks came after denouncing President Trump’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I, like so many of us, have been appalled by how he has responded to the pandemic—the optimistic and fact-free assurances that all will be fine, the chaotic implementation of travel bans and claims about a ‘foreign virus,’ the narcissistic ease with which he has passed blame to others, his dishonesty with the American people, and worst of all, his shocking lack of empathy and compassion for those who are suffering and fearful,” Wintour wrote of President Trump. “Meanwhile, his administration has been unforgivably slow to provide testing, and to mobilize treatment to all who will need it. These weeks have been a reminder—as if we needed a reminder—that America must choose a new president.”
“And it is my belief that we should choose Vice President Joe Biden,” Wintour continued. “I have been impressed with the wider field of Democratic candidates this primary season, but after Biden’s decisive victories on Super Tuesday, I, like so many Americans, made up my mind to rally behind the Vice President. He is unmistakably a man of character and has so many qualities that we are in desperately short supply of in Washington right now: decency, honor, compassion, trustworthiness, and best of all experience.”

In Dec. 2019, Jack Nicholson was seen leaving a Bernie Sanders rally in Moreno Valley, California.
Emily Ratajkowski was featured on the candidate’s YouTube channel to share why she’s feeling the Bern.
“Bernie is extremely genuine,” she began. “He’s consistent. He’s powerful, not because of who he is as one person, but because of the way that he invigorates people, and excites them, and brings together this movement.”
She added: “Bernie has always been very clear about how he advocates for women’s health care, which is hugely important to me.
At a March 2020 rally, Dick Van Dyke was on hand to warm up the crowd, and Sarah Silverman and Public Enemy also performed.
Actress Kirsten Dunst tweeted her support on March 3, 2020, writing, “Feel the Bern!” in addition to sharing her own personal statement.
Sanders personally thanked Rev. Jesse Jackson for supporting him, tweeting, “Today is a special day for our campaign. Rev. Jesse Jackson is one of the most transformative figures in modern American history and a hero of mine. It is one of the honors of my life to have his support.”
