Everton and England goalie Jordan Pickford was allegedly involved in a brawl in a Sunderland bar on Sunday, and can be seen on video being restrained outside by security.

Footage surfaced on social media that showed the 25-year-old being heckled in a bar while meeting with and taking pictures with fans. Separate footage then showed then an altercation outside of the bar where he had to be restrained and pulled out of a crowd of people.

It’s not clear what specifically started the brawl outside.

The incident in his hometown came just one day after he helped Everton to a 2-0 win against West Ham United in London on Saturday, which jumped the club to ninth in the Premiere League Standings.

“The club has been made aware of an alleged incident involving one of our players and we are looking into the matter,” Everton said in a statement, via BBC.

Pickford has recorded 86 saves in 31 appearances for Everton so far this season — his second with the club, who signed him away from Sunderland in 2017. He was also critical in England’s semifinal run in the World Cup last summer, recording 17 saves in the tournament — including a major save in a penalty shootout against Colombia in the Round of 16.
