Everbowl in Montgomery: Try a free bowl Thursday before Friday's grand opening

This week could include a step toward eating healthier, and it’s absolutely free from Everbowl, Montgomery’s new superfood eatery.

The grand opening for Alabama’s first Everbowl is Friday at The Shoppes at EastChase, 7056 Eastchase Parkway, the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce announced. But guests can get a sneak peek and try one of their bowls for free the night before. Thursday from 5-8 p.m., the first 300 customers will get a free bowl.

According to everbowl.com, there are six favorite bowls:

  • Everbowl: Base of Acai (fresh blackberry and unsweetened chocolate) and granola, topped with banana, strawberries and blueberries.

  • Blue Lagoon: Base of Pitaya (fresh and light with hints of pineapple and mango), Coco Love (mild coconut cream), Blue Majic (creamy coconut, pineapple and mango), and Chia Pudding, topped with strawberries, pineapple, and shaved coconut.

  • Full Moon: Base of Cacao Wow (sweet, chocolatey coconut cream), vanilla (naturally sweet vanilla cream), and granola, topped with banana, strawberries, peanut butter and Cacao Nibs.

  • Tropical: Base of Pitaya, Açaí, and Coco Love, topped with granola, banana, pineapple, kiwi and shaved coconut.

  • Chewy: Base of Chewy (peanut buttery Açaí)  and granola, topped with banana, peanut butter and shaved coconut.

  • Apple Up: Base of Açaí, vanilla, everoats, and granola, topped with cinnamon apples and cinnamon.

Southern California chain Everbowl's first Central Ohio location is at 15 N. State St., in Westerville. Another is planned in Upper Arlington.

For those who’d like to make their own unique bowl, you can do that, too. It’s called the Whatever Bowl.  Bases for the bowls include Açaí, Blue Majik, Cacao Wow, Chewy, Coco Love, Pitaya, Vanilla, and Matcha (earthy and lightly sweet). You can also get a bonus base of chia pudding, everoats, and granola. These can be topped with your choice of:

  • Nut butters: almond butter and peanut butter.

  • Fresh fruit: Cinnamon apples, banana, blueberries, grapes, kiwi, pineapple, and strawberries.

  • Dry: Dried mango, dried pineapple, goji berries, cacao nibs, coconut flakes, and slice almonds.

  • Superboosts: Bee pollen, chia seeds, cinnamon, flax seeds, goji berries, and hemp seeds.

Everbowl also offers fresh smoothies — Matcha Magic, Pitaya Wonder, PB Cacao Dream, and Nanaberry Bliss — and Superfuel Coffee varieties from Guatemala and Columbia.

Ingredients at Everbowl are organic, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free and refined sugar-free. The Everbowl slogan is that their offerings are "made from stuff that's been around forever."

Guests are encouraged to post photos of their Everbowl creations and either use the tag @everbowl_montgomery or use #everbowl.

“We are so excited to welcome Everbowl to our restaurant mix,” said Sidney Carol Barnhardt, marketing associate for The Shoppes at EastChase. “Their clean menu provides an enhanced selection and fresh options for our health-conscious customers at The Shoppes.”

Regular hours for the Montgomery location will be Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

Everbowl was founded in 2016 and is based in California. The Montgomery Everbowl is near lululemon, in the EastChase site formerly occupied by Frutta Bowls.
