Mr. Monk’s Last Case premiere

Peacock celebrated the world premiere of Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie with the ultimate reunion of the original cast, executive producers and guest stars on Tuesday in NYC, 14 years after the Monk series finale.

Poor Things premiere

Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley and Ramy Youssef joined director Yorgos Lanthimos at the NYC premiere of their Searchlight film on Wednesday.

The Color Purple premiere

The team behind the musical adaptation — including producers Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg, along with stars Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, H.E.R. and Halle Bailey, walked the purple carpet at the L.A. premiere on Wednesday.

Lawmen: Bass Reeves special event

Oprah hosted a special screening of David Oyelowo’s new series on Dec. 1 in Los Angeles, with support from Gayle King and Oyelowo’s wife and kids.

The Archies special screening

Netflix held a special screening of The Archies, with director Zoya Akhtar and writer/producer Reema Kagti and hosted by Prabal Gurung, on Dec. 1 in NYC.

Get Lit Gala

Get Lit- Words Ignite — the Los Angeles-based education nonprofit whose mission is to increase literacy, mobilize youth, and energize communities through poetry and visual media — honored Anderson .Paak at its event on Saturday. WME and Vans were also recognized as this year’s Ignite Award honorees.

Nyad special screening

Jared Leto hosted a special screening of Nyad with director Jimmy Chin, Diana Nyad and Bonnie Stoll on Saturday.

Society of the Snow special screening

Tom Holland moderated a special screening of the Netflix film in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Beanie Bubble special screening

Renee Zellweger hosted and moderated a special screening of The Beanie Bubble at CAA on Sunday, where she interviewed first-time directors Kristin Gore and Damian Kulash. Elizabeth Banks, who co-stars, introduced the film.

Camila Cabello + Lauren Sánchez holiday event

Camila Cabello, with sponsorship by Lauren Sánchez, hosted a holiday celebration on Sunday for reunified families in Miami. The event was put on in partnership with This Is About Humanity, Miami Freedom Project and Catholic Legal Services.

Moving Image Award for Career Achievement

The Museum of the Moving Image honored May December director Todd Haynes with the Moving Image Award for Career Achievement on Monday, accompanied by a complete film retrospective, gallery exhibit and publication of a new book about his process.

On Monday night in NYC, The Stonewall Inn and its official charitable giving organization, The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI), hosted the inaugural Stonewall Inn Brick Awards Gala to benefit SIGBI’s Safe Spaces Initiative and honor global LGBTQ+ leaders, and presented actress Dominique Jackson with the Icon Award.

Comic Relief US’ inaugural gala

Comic Relief US hosted its inaugural Winter Féte in NYC on Tuesday, supporting their mission to leverage the power of entertainment to raise funds and awareness to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. The night honored Funny or Die owner and chairman Henry R.
