Even ‘Jeopardy!’ is getting in on Robert Mueller’s investigation

After investigating a sitting president, Donald Trump, for over a year and a half for possible collusion with Russia, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s career has hit a milestone: He was an answer on Jeopardy!, and the way the clue was worded shined a great light on Mueller, not so much those he’s investigating. The clue read, “At least 17 indictments & 5 guilty pleas were in by May 17, 2018, one year after he became special counsel.” The answer, of course, was, “Who is Mueller?” Viewers were quick to weigh in with one fan tweeting, “Oh #jeopardy I love your savagery.” While another couldn’t believe the show actually went there, tweeting, “LOL. A #jeopardy question of all Robert Mueller’s indictments was just on the show. WOW!!!” This wasn’t the first time the Russia Probe was the subject of a clue on Jeopardy!. In July, one of Mueller’s earliest indictments also took center stage. The clue read, “In 2017 this ex-national security advisor pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.” None of the contestants were able to come up with the correct answer, which was Michael Flynn, who is currently awaiting sentencing. Trump has maintained his innocence since the beginning of the investigation despite the growing number of indictments.
