Barbecue and Ice Cream for Habitat

Bethlehem United Church of Christ will have a BBQ dinner, ice cream social and auction on Sunday, July 16, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. It will benefit the church’s Habitat for Humanity project. On the menu are barbecued pork with a choice of two sides from coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, or chips and dessert. Kids meals of a hot dog, applesauce, chips and dessert are also offered. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

National Ice Cream Day at The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse will be hosting JB’s Barnyard ice cream food truck for The Big Scoop: National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 16, from noon-4 p.m. Stop by for ice cream, give aways and more.

Joe Brewski Coffee has upscaled catering options and can serve groups of 750 or more people. Coffee bars, custom cold brews, house-made lemonades and craft sodas are some of the options. Ready to pick up packs can serve as few as 5 people, and delivery is also available. Prices for standard drinks packages range from $2.35 - $4.75 per person. Call to discuss your party.

St. Wendel Bierstube

The Knights of St. John #282 will host the St. Wendel Bierstube on Thursday, July 13, beginning at 6 p.m. - Saturday, July 15, at 11:45 p.m.  Come in for beer, burgers and sausage with sides, live music, and more. Fried chicken dinners will be available on Friday and Saturday nights.

Karaoke for a cause

The Henderson Brewing Co. will have a family friendly Karaoke competition and guest bartender night on Wednesday, July 12, from 4-8 p.m. to benefit Habitat for Humanity of Henderson and Audubon Kids Zone. The Karaoke winner gets a $100 gift card prize. The Jenn's Rockin' Eats food truck will be serving outside.

Pan-Latin restaurant closing, for now

Los Alfaro's restaurant will be closing the Kratzville Road location on July 29 and the business is for sale. Stop in before that to enjoy your favorite foot long tacos and food from El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Cuba, and other Latin countries. A social media post reads, "we are grateful for each individual that came through our doors. It was an honor and privilege to serve you. We might have some different plans in the near future. Lemonade benefits foster kids

Sixth and Zero will be hosting a lemonade stand from the Isaiah 117 House Vanderburgh County on Friday, July 14, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., with live music from noon-1 p.m. All proceeds go to the Isiah 117 House Vanderburgh County, which provides a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement.
