East Side biscuit restaurant celebrates two years

Biscuit Belly will host a grand reopening the week of July 17–22. Daily specials will include BOGO coffee drinks on Monday, $6 drive-through combos on Tuesday, mimosa and bloody mary specials on Wednesday, a $2 basic biscuit with purchase on Thursday, $5 bowls and omelets on Friday and an all day block party on Saturday with samples, prizes and more.

Barge Bar now open on the Ohio

The Dive Barge at Marina Pointe is open for the season. The barge is an extension of K.C.'s Marina Pointe, but has its own kitchen and a some different items on the menu. Wander down the bank for shrimp jammers (shrimp stuffed with cheese and served with chipotle ranch dip), pimento cheese spread, a burger, smoked chicken salad, loaded Philly fries and more.

The Dive Barge is at 1801 Waterworks Road.

Local baker publishes cookbook

New cafe coming to Evansville's East Side

Frankie's Restaurant will occupy the former Jalisco Taqueria space behind White Castle off Morgan avenue and has a tentative soft opening date of July 17. The family-friendly spot will serve breakfast and casual food such as burgers, fried chicken, fish tacos, sandwiches and more.

Frankie's Restaurant will be at 6840 Logan Drive.

New juice café coming to Evansville

Kwench Juice Café has posted a Facebook page with an address on Tutor Lane, on Evansville's East Side. No opening date has been settled upon yet. The vegan franchise serves raw juices and juice shots, smoothies, açai and pitaya bowls, and seasonal specialties such as soups, salads and Buddha bowls with vegetables and grains.

Kwench Juice Café will be located at 1211 Tutor Lane, Suite A.

New Colombian food truck hits the street

Sabor Colombia has a food trailer and is serving Evansville. On the menu are empanadas filled with shredded beef or chicken, potatoes and mixed vegetables or vegetarian empanadas; chicharrones or fried pork skins; Colombian rice with chicken; Colombian tamales in banana leaves; and arepas, which are thick corn cakes split and stuffed with shredded chicken or beef fillings. Colombian sodas and coffee will wash it all down. Upcoming dates include Tuesday, July 18, from 5-8 p.m. at the Barker Brewhouse; Wednesday, July 19, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Red Cross Blood Drive; and Saturday, July 22, from 9 p.m.-1:30 a.m. at Salsa on the Square. New ethnic market opens in Evansville

The Souvenir de Dieu Haitian Mini Market has opened on Lincoln Avenue. Inside, you'll find Haitian specialty food items such as fresh yams, plantain, large sweet potatoes, peppers, dry smoked fish, dry beans and grains, rice, corn meal, grits and more.

The Souvenir de Dieu Haitian Market is at 1655 Lincoln Ave.
