Eva Mendes is well aware that she has to share her longtime partner Ryan Gosling's "Kenergy" with the rest of the world.

Last week, the actress and mother of two, 49, showed her love for Gosling by posting a video on her Instagram of the actor, 43, and music producer Mark Ronson, 48, as they appeared to work on a new version of the hit song "I'm Just Ken" from Barbie.

Sitting down at a piano, Gosling, who plays Ken in the blockbuster hit, begins to play as the camera pans around the studio, first focusing on the star and then switching to show Ronson as he worked on a mixing board. The words "I'm Just Ken / Merry Kristmas Barbie" appear on the screen while Gosling and Ronson can be heard discussing the right way to start the song.

In her caption, Mendes shouted out her love by saying, "So grateful to @iammarkronson for getting my man to make more music. Dead Man’s Bones is my favorite band ….when I first heard Ryan sing, MY HEART EXPLODED."

However, some in the comments jokingly took offense to Mendes referring to Gosling as "my man."

"Eva, I really live [sic] you, but please don't say my man, please try with our man, we all love him ❤️," one commenter wrote.

"@rosemontes.o you’re right ! Our Man. It’ll never happen again. Merry Christmas! Lots of love !!" Mendes hilariously responded.

This isn't the first time that Mendes has cheered Gosling on from the sidelines as he has promoted his role as Ken in Barbie this year. From reposting glowing comments from the movie's director Greta Gerwig to sporting his face on her own T-shirt, the actress has been there every step of the way for Gosling — and the support isn't lost on him.

In an interview with Access Hollywood at the movie's world premiere in Los Angeles in July, Gosling was asked how he felt about all of the Instagram posts from Mendes.

“It means everything. It means everything," said the actor, whose jewelry for the evening also represented his love for Mendes: a small pendant showing the letter E, short for Eva.

Mendes and Gosling have been linked since 2011 after meeting on the set of their movie The Place Beyond the Pines. Although the couple has never married, they share two children: Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7.

Barbie became the highest-grossing film of 2023 (and Warner Bros.' biggest movie ever!) at over $1.44 billion worldwide following its July release.

While there are no official plans for a sequel yet, Gosling isn't shying away from reprising his role in a a potential follow-up.

“Can it be a husky Ken? Can I play Husky Ken, like Sandwich Ken? Can I play that Ken next time?” he joked during a panel conversation at London’s BFI Southbank earlier this month, per Variety.

Although Gosling may be interested, Margot Robbie, who co-produced the film and starred as Barbie herself, isn't quite so sure. Speaking about the potential for a Barbie sequel during her Variety Actors on Actors conversation with Cillian Murphy, the actress refused to rule the possibility of another movie out entirely but revealed that she wasn't certain the world needed another iteration.

"We put everything into that movie and it's so good, that I'm like, 'Oh, no!' " said Robbie, 33. "And I was also so proud of the fact that it wasn't a sequel or a prequel or a remake, which is getting rarer and rarer these days ... that part of me is like 'Oh, no, if we do a Barbie 2 ... I don't know.' "

Barbie is now streaming on Max.
