He may just be Ken, but he still has responsibilities at home.

Following Ryan Gosling’s electrifying “I’m Just Ken” performance at the 2024 Oscars on Sunday, the Barbie star’s longtime partner Eva Mendes posted an Instagram photo of herself in a pink blazer and a black cowboy hat with the caption, “You took Ken all the way to the Oscar’s, RG. Barbie went into the night with a total of eight nominations and left with one Oscar, for Best Original Song.

Earlier on Sunday, Mendes posted a video clip on Instagram from outside of Gosling’s dressing room set to with his Oscar-nominated song “I’m Just Ken.” “Always by my man,” the actress captioned the Reel.

Gosling, wearing a sparkly pink suit and sunglasses, took the stage at Sunday’s 96th annual Academy Awards alongside Mark Ronson and fellow Kens Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans and Ncuti Gatwa to belt the viral Barbie song with maximum Kenergy. At one point, Gosling turned the mic over to Barbie director Greta Gerwig and stars America Ferrera and Margot Robbie to sing a few lines from the front row. Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen helped Gosling close out the energetic performance.

Just before Gosling took the stage, he received a reassuring hug from his mom. Then immediately after he wrapped, he was escorted out and and Gerwig and Robbie, 33, collapsed in their seats as the director made a “mind-blown” gesture with both hands. Gosling reappeared at the Dolby Theatre's bar, where he smiled and waved to onlookers.

“I’m Just Ken” didn’t win Best Original Song, but the honor stayed in the Barbie family when "What Was I Made For?" from the movie’s soundtrack took home the award. Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell performed the song during the ceremony — and moved the cast Barbie cast to tears.

"I didn't think this would happen, I wasn't expecting this,” Eilish, 22, said while accepting the award. “I feel so incredibly lucky and honored."
