Eva Longoria Jokes That She Still Can't Keep Up with the Models at Cannes Even in 5-Inch Heels

It's no secret that Eva Longoria is petite, coming in at 5'2″ to be exact. Although, to be fair, the average height for American women is around 5'4″ putting the actress firmly within the range of the norm. But despite her proximity to the median height, Eva seems to regularly find herself surrounded by some of the tallest women in the world, a difference in stature that's only made more pronounced by the sea of 4 and 5-inch heels regularly worn on the red carpet. And such was the case on Wednesday night at the Cannes Film Festival L'Oréal Paris Cinema Club Party when Longoria suddenly found herself completely surrounded by some of the leggiest ladies in the business.
For those who don't know, the actress is one of the faces of L'Oréal along with a whole lot of catwalk regulars, all of whom were in attendance at the party on the French Riviera to celebrate Balmain's Olivier Rousteing and his forthcoming lipstick collection for the brand. While Eva tried to pose with the professionals on the red carpet, giving it her best in her black Balmain cut-out gown, it's tough to rival those 5-mile-long gams in just 5-inch heels. Or as the she put it in the caption to the photo she shared of that moment, "Just us models 😉 #Wore5InchHeelsAndStillCouldntKeepUp #SeriouslyShort."

This isn't the first time Longoria has made a statuesque joke at her own expense, either. For some reason, the actress seems to regularly find herself standing next to super tall supermodels, like Karlie Kloss. In the past, the movie star has joked that she and Karlie are, "basically twins!!!" underneath a photo showing that even without heels, the 6'1″ model's legs alone are almost as long as Eva is tall. But given that the former Desperate Housewives star seems to continuously find herself stuck in these scenarios, perhaps it's time someone invent the 12″ tall platform heel to finally give Longoria the leg up on these runway pros.
