Eva Longoria had a busy Thanksgiving with her little boy and their loved ones.

The actress and producer, 48, shared several Instagram videos and photos on Thursday, featuring son Santiago, 5, husband José Antonio "Pepe" Bastón, 55, and other family members enjoying the holiday.

"What are we doing?" she asks Santiago in one video while her son hugs her waist. He responds with a shout: "Thanksgiving party!"

"We're cooking," Longoria explains to her 9.8 million followers while panning the phone around her kitchen to show a rolling pin and dough, which Santiago begins to eat.

"Don't put that in your mouth," the Desperate Housewives alum playfully scolds.

In the next video, Longoria shares how much work goes into planning the holiday.

"Y'all don't know," says Longoria, clad in a red-and-white striped Williams Sonoma apron. "I've started Thanksgiving prep like three days ago. But what's crazy is we make a huge breakfast on Thanksgiving, right mom? I make my beans, my tortillas to get everybody filled up before we have our Thanksgiving meal."

Longoria then turns her phone to show her mother, Ella and other loved ones gathered around the kitchen island eating the fruits of her labor.

Another clip shows Longoria and Santiago preparing a dessert. "Now it looks like a pie," the boy says while laying strips of dough across the top of the pie.

She also shared video of the turkey she prepared and a photo of "Mi familia," featuring Bastón, Santiago and others.

In April, the actress penned a letter to herself as a little girl for PEOPLE's 2023 Beautiful Issue, sharing how her Texas upbringing would prepare her for the ups and downs of fame.

The letter began by celebrating her appearance and marveling at how much she looked like son Santiago while she was growing up.

"Wow, you look just like the son you will have someday, Santiago (you'll call him Santi)," she wrote. "Right now you're such a tomboy and love going barefoot and running around our ranch with the chickens and your older sisters. I know you don't love doing your chores like washing the dishes and feeding the cows, but I promise they will help you become a successful adult as you grow up."

In October 2020, Longoria opened up about her parenting experience on an episode of Anna FarisUnqualified podcast, saying that she's "never going to tell someone how to parent."

"I never want to be that person — to be on a podcast like, 'What I do is I put my son to bed at 7 because studies show that the brain ... ' Like, 'Oh my God, good for you. You go do that,' " said the actress.

"I am in no way an expert of being a mom," she declared.

Longoria added that she's grateful to have "a village" of support and "a lot of help" with her son, in the form of her "huge family" who all assist with each other's children.

"I have an amazing husband who supports me, I have amazing sisters and I have amazing girlfriends who have kids the same age," she told Faris. "So we all chip in and get it done."
