Euphoria star Hunter Schafer was arrested at a pro-Palestine protest on Monday during the taping of Joe Biden’s Late Night With Seth Meyers appearance, according to reports.

According to Vulture, Schafer was one of 33 arrested whilst protesting for Palestinian rights with the Jewish Voice for Peace group on Monday.

Photos from the event show her wearing a shirt that calls for an immediate ceasefire and a Reuters image sees her being escorted out of 30 Rock by an NYPD officer with her hands restrained behind her back.

A spokesperson for the NYPD’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information, told Deadline: “On Monday, February 26, 2024, at approximately 1630 hours, there was a demonstration at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, in the confines of the Midtown North Precinct. The demonstration concluded at 1800 hours. A total of 30 individuals were taken into custody. Thirty individuals were issued summonses for Trespass.”

Biden’s Seth Meyers appearance was disrupted by the protestors. Yesterday at the Michigan Democratic Primary, thousands pushed for an “uncommitted vote” to send a message to the POTUS about Gaza, and the uncommitted share of the vote was at 14.2% with 28% in.

Biden was appearing on Seth Meyers as a surprise guest, where he answered questions about topics ranging from his age to the conservative conspiracy about Taylor Swift to, unsurprisingly, the Israel-Hamas war.

Schafer starred in Euphoria as transgender teen Jules Vaughn. The role has handed her global fame and she has won a number of awards for her performance. Other credits include The Hunger Games prequel and horror movie Cuckoo opposite Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick.

Deadline has reached out to Schafer’s reps for comment.
