“Euphoria”'s Hunter Schafer Confirms She and Pal Rosalía Dated: 'She's Family No Matter What'

The actress was most recently linked to her 'Euphoria' costar Dominic Fike, but the pair's split was confirmed in July 2023

There's a romantic history between Hunter Schafer and Rosalía that the stars are finally ready to share.

In a new interview for GQ’s Creativity Issue, Schafer, 25, confirmed that she and the Spanish musician were “once romantically involved” for five months in 2019. Nowadays, they remain in each other’s lives and have a “really beautiful” friendship.

“It’s been so much speculation for so long,” the Euphoria star said of her history with Rosalía, whom she has been photographed with several times over the last few years, prompting said speculation. “Part of us just wants to get it over with, and then another part is like, ‘It’s none of anybody’s fucking business!’”

The decision to share their history came after Schafer spoke to the 31-year-old musician and seemingly got her approval to talk about it. “It’s something I’m happy to share. And I think she feels that way too,” she told the outlet.

As with many of Schafer’s other former romantic partners, her relationship with Rosalía remains positive. “She’s family no matter what,” the actress added.

More recently, Schafer was linked to her Euphoria costar Dominic Fike. The pair's split was confirmed in July 2023 after more than a year of dating.

Schafer told the publication she’s “still in some ways healing” from the relationship as she confirmed she’s currently single.  “I want to make sure I’m good all the way before I jump into something else,” she said.

Dating Fike, 28, whom she met when he joined season 2 of the hit HBO series, was Schafer’s first experience dating another famous person with the public’s awareness. “It was completely different,” she said of being “in love” with Fike.

“I had a really beautiful relationship with [him], and it really opened me up in that way,” she continued, revealing that she’d never dated a man before him.

Fike had similarly opened up to GQ about their relationship as he revealed that things were “accelerated” due to the intensity of the scenes they filmed together.

"Because you're so vulnerable with someone, immediately. Which usually takes a long time. Some people fall in love, like, f---ing months after they meet, or years after. We developed an attraction—it sped it up so fast,” he previously told the outlet in 2022. “We just really got to know each other so quickly."

Rosalía, on the other hand, has more recently been linked to The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White. The pair were first photographed together in December 2023, just a few months after the actor split from his wife Addison Timlin. She was previously engaged to Rauw Alejandro, but PEOPLE confirmed the former couple's split in July 2023.

Later addressing the breakup on Instagram, the "Beso" songstress wrote: "I love, respect and admire Rauw. I'm not paying attention to the movies. We know what we lived. This is not an easy moment, so thank you all for understanding and respecting."
