A popular travel series recently put a spotlight on the Queen City.

The June 13 episode of Esquire magazine's "In Transit" series featured several Cincinnati businesses. During the 20-minute episode, host Dave Holmes, who interviews celebrity guests while uncovering hidden treasures in various cities, met with Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy to discuss all things Cincy.

While enjoying a Queen City Breeze, the signature cocktail at Taste of Cincinnati, Kennedy told Holmes about his first concert in the city at Hi-Fi Cincy. Although the show only attracted roughly 200 people, Kennedy said he remains fond of the Mount Adams vinyl record bar.

"It was just one of those shows that feels really good," he said. "I kind of look back with nostalgia at that phase."

After diving into Hi-Fi Cincy's concept and unique menu offerings, Holmes introduced audiences to the downtown Cincinnati karaoke bar Tokyo Kitty, calling it "one of the most unique karaoke bars in the world."

Holmes also looked at the Symphony Hotel in Over-the-Rhine. According to the host, the "charming" hotel, located inside a restored 19th century building, is a one-of-a-kind experience due to its historic rooms dedicated to famous composers.

The American Sign Museum was recently mentioned during Esquire's "In Transit" series.

Additionally, Holmes advised visitors to check out the neon lights of the American Sign Museum and the many shops and restaurants in and around Findlay Market, including Jamaican soul food restaurant Flavors of the Isle and Bee Haven.

The duo then concluded their ode to Cincinnati with one last recommendation: Lost & Found OTR.

"Being a little off the beaten path, we are honored to be mentioned by the Esquire itinerary-makers who handpicked us alongside other local businesses that will show Cincinnati visitors another side of the city than they might expect," said Lost & Found co-owner Steven Clement in a statement.
