Ernie Hudson Shares Morsel of New 'Ghostbusters' Info

We know most of the key members of the original Ghostbusters cast will pop up in the reboot starring Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Kristen Wiig. What we don’t know is…pretty much anything else about their returns. But if you’re desperate to learn more about what director Paul Feig has up his sleeve before the official new Ghostbusters trailer launches next week, Ernie Hudson – that’s Winston Zeddemore to you, young man – has shared a couple of tidbits.

During an interview with People at Monday’s American Black Film Festival Awards, Hudson confirmed that he, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts, and Sigourney Weaver – the original “I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost” crew – are all in the movie, but not necessarily in a group cameo.

Hudson said that each actor will “come in at quite different times” during the new Ghostbusters. Hudson’s comments seemingly support something Feig told Entertainment Weekly about the reboot almost two years ago: that he would welcome cameos from members of the original cast but everyone making them “would be in different roles now.”

Hudson is gung ho about the new movie: “The script I knew was good. I knew the special effects would be amazing. But I was really pleasantly surprised to see how the women kind of gelled together.”

The first trailer for this much-hyped foray back into Stay Puft Marshmallow Mania debuts on March 3, at which time additional overanalysis of pre-release information will commence.
