Erin Napier is speaking up about a topic she’s passionate about.

After founding her organization Osprey (Old School Parents Raising Engaged Youth) in 2023, the Home Town star and her husband Ben hosted their first-ever Osprey Festival in Laurel, Mississippi, on Saturday.

The fun-filled day offered several “old school” activities and workshops for families to enjoy in light of the organization's mission — to unite families who value a social media-free upbringing for their kids.

However, Erin shared a series of photos to her Instagram Story following the festival (and later added them to a Highlight), to reveal that posts about the event and Osprey in general were being restricted by Instagram and Facebook’s parent company, Meta.

“Something really weird happened,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Sunday.

The next slide shows a “Try Again Later” error message popping up on someone’s phone after they attempted to post an image from the festival and tag both Erin and Ben in it.

“Meta wouldn't let images of our #ospreykids logo be tagged in any photos by anyone,” the mom of two explains, “and wouldn't allow anyone to tag me or ben.” She includes another picture of someone’s phone getting the same notification after trying to post a similar photo to their Story.

Erin continues: “It would seem that the powers that be would rather our kids be staring at phones than living their real lives, doing, playing, adventuring. So it’s best to try to shut us up. We are bad for business, baby.”

She then leaves her followers with an important question.

“If the ways big tech is censoring good causes doesn't worry you, it should. you may not hear from us much anymore because they don't want you to,” she wrote. The next few slides are more screenshots of messages she received from people telling her old posts that she and Ben were tagged in were also being removed from Facebook and Instagram.

While opening up to PEOPLE about how her and Ben’s daughters — Mae, 2½, and Helen, 6 — won’t have social media until after high school, the HGTV star also shared how she noticed her Osprey posts weren’t getting as much attention as her other ones.

"It gets suppressed. Posts get a tiny fraction of the views that my usual posts do, which is disturbing,” she told PEOPLE earlier in March. “I think social media should be the adult town square for sharing information. But if you're only able to share selective information, that's scary."
