OSHKOSH — Up and coming this week are several holiday concerts featuring jazz, Madrigal groups and tribute performances.
There's also the Wisconsin Fishing Expo for the anglers and EAA will hold its annual Wright Brothers Memorial Banquet.
Here are your can't-miss events happening in the community this week.
1. Erin Krebs headlines Christmas jazz concert at The Waters
Jazz Coterie will present “A Swingin’ Christmas” Dec. 12 featuring Erin Krebs and Friends. The performance begins at 7 p.m. at The Waters, 1393 Washington Ave.
Krebs was awarded the Wisconsin Area Music Industry Jazz Artist of the Year in 2023 and 2018, and Female Vocalist of the Year in 2019. She grew up in southern Wisconsin, singing at 3, and later learned the flute and other woodwinds.
Krebs earned a bachelor’s degree in music education from UW-Oshkosh and taught music in schools for a decade. She is now focused on her career as a vocalist and teaches private lessons on woodwinds, piano and voice.

2. Air Force pilot Campbell is keynote speaker at EAA banquet
This year’s EAA Wright Brothers Memorial Banquet will be 6:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 8 at the EAA Aviation Museum, 3000 Poberezny Road.
The keynote speaker is Kim “KC” Campbell, a retired Colonel who served in the Air Force for more than 24 years as a fighter pilot and senior military leader.
According to the event website, she has flown 1,800 hours in the A-10 Warthog, including more than 100 combat missions protecting troops on the ground in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
In 2003, Campbell was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism after successfully recovering her battle-damaged airplane after an intense close-air support mission.

3. Wisconsin Ice Fishing Expo runs Dec. 8-10 in Oshkosh
This year’s Wisconsin Ice Fishing Expo is set to run Dec. 8 to 10 at Sunnyview Expo Center, 500 E. County Road Y.
More than 100 exhibits of products and services will feature new ice fishing products such as fish houses, augers, underwater cameras, digital fish finders, rods and reels, tackle, accessories, apparel and more.
An ice shelter village will be set up along with a kids' zone and food trucks.
Admission is $10 for adults with kids 12 and younger admitted free.

4. Christmas Spectacular features tributes to Elvis, Orbison, Cole
Tickets are available now for La Sure's Christmas Spectacular Dec. 9. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at La Sure’s Banquet Hall, 3125 S. Washburn St.
Celebrate the holiday season with dinner and a show, featuring Tim E Hendry from Pigeon Forge Tennessee as Elvis, Jesse Aron paying tribute to Roy Orbison, and Robin Adkins as Nat King Cole.

5. Madrigal groups join community band for Christmas Sing
The 38th annual Christmas Sing will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at The Grand Oshkosh, 100 High Ave.
Madrigal singing groups from Oshkosh Lourdes Academy, directed by Carrie Gruman-Trinkner; Oshkosh West High School, directed by Bethany Meyer; and Oshkosh North High School, directed by Bridget Duffy-Ulrich, will perform. The Oshkosh Area Community Band, led by David Berndt, will perform first.
Each group will perform separately and lead some carol singing. All groups will combine with the audience to close the night with popular holiday songs.
Admission is free, but donations for the Day By Day Warming Shelter of Oshkosh will be accepted.
