Erin Andrews Talks Helping Set Up Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Hopes to 'Officiate the Wedding'

"He's just such a great, great guy. And so we threw it out there [on our podcast] and they got together," Andrews said

Erin Andrews is getting candid about her match-making skills.

The NFL broadcaster, 45, opened up on Late Night with Seth Meyers about her part in helping Travis Kelce, 34, and Taylor Swift, 33, link up — which happened after she suggested the idea of them going on a date on her Calm Down with Erin and Charissa podcast.

“Travis was very open about not getting to meet her. And so we were just being really candid because we love him. We’re good friends of his and we just were like, ‘Taylor, date this guy. I mean he’s good looking,’ “ Andrews told Seth Meyers.

"He’s just such a great, great guy. And so we threw it out there and they got together. Of course, we’re getting all the credit now,” she added.

On an episode of their podcast in August, Andrews and Charissa Thompson asked Swift to “please try our friend Travis. He is fantastic.” Andrews said: “This is one Taylor, I know we’re not the best of friends, we’re not even friends, but I consider you one. Take us up on this. Go on a date with this guy. Do it for America.”

Kelce even thanked them in an October tweet for any role they may have played in making the match. In response to the clip on Instagram, the 33-year-old wrote on Sunday, “😂😂 You two are something else!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I owe you big time!!”

“We hope to officiate the wedding,” Andrews teased Meyers. “We hope to be there when he proposes, all the things.”

She also discussed the impact of Swift wearing one of her Kansas City Chiefs designed jackets, which the “Anti-Hero” singer wore to one of Kelce’s games a few weeks ago.

“If you have anything and she puts it on… I mean if you own a Kleenix company and she wipes her — it’s like oh my God. Yes, this was a huge moment,” she shared.

"As soon as she wore it, I saw it,” she continued. “I started screaming and freaking out and singing all my favorite Swiftie songs. And then yeah, we restocked and we sold out. And thank you, thank you Taylor Swift.”

She said they were able to restock the jackets once again on fanatics.com, and even joked with Meyers about having his wife sign on to wear some of her apparel with Philadelphia designs.

Swift and Kelce connected after the NFL tight end expressed regret on his podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce about not being able to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it. Swift has since attended several Chiefs games and the pair have been photographed out together several times.

"Taylor's unlike anyone Travis has dated before," a source told PEOPLE earlier this month. "It was very unexpected for his friends, but he's so into her and very, very happy."
