In the video above, Erika Jayne shares a behind-the-scenes look at the “chaos” that goes on in her home during an interview day for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The singer introduces us to her creative team that takes each look from the initial sketched concept to a fully formed ensemble complete with perfectly coordinated glam. But for Erika, keeping her look in top shape starts long before she sits in the makeup chair.

Erika recently chatted with BravoTV.com about the beauty products she always keeps on hand. At the top of the list are her essential haircare products. “So much of my life revolves around my hair... I usually reach for my Mason Pearson brush the most,” she said of the cult-favorite brush ($120 to $275).

As for her hair wash routine, she has that down to a science. “My hair is very light, so I’m usually using a blonde shampoo and a blonde conditioner that’s formulated for really high lift hair,” she shared. Her pick: Joico’s Blonde Life Brightening Shampoo ($21.50 for 10.1 ounces) and Blonde Life Brightening Conditioner ($22.50 for 8.5 ounces). “This particular shampoo pulls my hair up beautifully... The products I put in my hair do not have any color, so there’s no oils, no yellows,” she explained, adding that she avoids purple shampoos because they turn her hair brassy.

Of course, Erika also relies heavily on her own line of hair extensions, Pretty Mess Hair, to add length and fullness. “It’s really good hair,” she insists. “Even though I have really thick hair, I also wear hair... It feels good. Wears well.”
