"The mic is on," the 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star tells PEOPLE while discussing her new two-hour documentary, 'Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde'

Erika Girardi isn't taking Denise Richards' digs at her vocals to heart.

The singer — who has had nine No. 1 hits on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart under her stage moniker, Erika Jayne — returned to the stage for the first time in four years at Kyle Richards' annual white party on last week's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 13 finale.

But while the crowd cheered for Erika's comeback performance of her song "XXPEN$IVE," shady comments from Denise had viewers at home stirring. "Erika's lip-syncing, come and watch! Thank God the cameras are way over there," Denise, 53, quipped, joking, "I know, I'm a bitch."

The comments didn't make their way to Erika until she saw the episode, but she wasn't bothered. "I think you saw my performance on Broadway so you know that you can't lip sync," says Erika. "The mic is on. You can hear the good notes and the bad notes, Denise, it's in there."

"But I feel bad for Denise because she's clearly grasping for something there," the 52-year-old star tells PEOPLE. "It's like, leave it alone, girl. Just leave it alone."

According to Erika, she later received "a very nice text" from Denise, which made things all the more confusing. "It's all over the place. All over the place," says Erika, noting that she's learned to just "embrace the chaos that is Denise."

RHOBH viewers were clued-in on Denise's issues with Erika this season, when the former Housewife incoherently tried to confront the songstress during a THC-infused dinner.

"I made an asshole out of myself," Denise explained in January during a visit to Podcast One's On Display with Melissa Gorga, recalling the slurred shade she attempted to throw Erika's way. "When I got home [my husband]'s like, 'What the f--- is wrong with you?'"

Erika, for her part, didn't engage, staying calm while trying to understand why Denise was so upset. During a party days later, Denise clarified she was still angry at Erika for discussing threesomes at a 2019 barbecue where Denise's children were present — a point that Erika noted, she had apologized for long ago.

But Denise didn't back down, claiming Erika wanted to go after Denise to deflect from the controversy surrounding her estranged husband Tom Girardi. And from there, Erika went in, asking Denise who made more off of OnlyFans: the Starship Trooper actress or her daughter, Sami.

"You asked for it," Erika said. "Listen, Denise I have nothing left for you. You can think however you want of me. You can feel however you want. I have nothing left to say. I didn't want this fight. .. You had your chance a week ago. You failed. You failed again tonight. That's it."

As fans wait to see whether Erika and Denise will come face-to-face in a future RHOBH episode, Erika is staying focused on her music career, which she relaunched last year with a provocative Vegas residency called Bet It All on Blonde.

Fans will get a peek at the making of that show with Erika Jayne: Bet It All on Blonde, a two-hour documentary special that will premiere on March 6.

"It's not easy," Erika tells PEOPLE of creating the stage show. "To put 80 minutes together in 30 days is unreal. And to only have two days in the theater where most people have two weeks, it was tough. But it was good, you know what I mean? It was amazing, but it was hard!"

Despite the challenge, Erika didn't let anyone see her sweat. "Everyone else was having a breakdown and I knew if I had a breakdown it was over," she says. "So I was kind of inside really sweating it, but outwardly I could not let anyone see me give into my emotions on the inside. I had to lead this group of people. Like, I got us all into this s---, so I had to get us out."

Ultimately, Erika says she's "proud" of what she accomplished, "excited" for fans to see the new show and has "big plans" for her future.

"I would love to take Bet it All on Blonde anywhere that they would have me," she says. "We can take her on the road. It's a good time. It's a fun time. And the Universe is listening. So if I pulled it out of thin air once, I can pull it out of thin air twice."
