Erika Christensen Boards ABC Thriller Ten Days in the Valley

Erika Christensen is going from one complicated family dynamic to another.

The Parenthood alumna has joined the cast of Ten Days in the Valley, a drama recently ordered to series by ABC, our sister Deadline reports. The series stars Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) as harrowed TV news producer Jane Sadler, whose entire world is rocked when her daughter disappears in the middle of the night.

Christensen will play Jane’s psychologist sister Ali, whose ongoing struggle to conceive a child of her own makes her a bit judgmental when it comes to Jane’s daughter’s disappearance. Since wrapping Parenthood in 2015, Christensen went on to co-star opposite Ed Westwick in ABC’s short-lived crime drama Wicked City.

Also joining the cast are Felix Solis (The Good Wife) as David Gomez, head of the LAPD Detective Bureau, and Australian actor Kick Gurry as Pete, the father of Jane’s daughter — and a recovering heroin addict. But don’t worry, he swears he has an alibi for the night of her disappearance.
