Erie Live Tattoo Gallery brings artists, canvasses, bands, vendors to downtown museum

Maybe you've always wanted a tattoo. Or you just like to look at them. You can do one or both of those things at the Erie Live Tattoo Gallery.

The event will take place Aug. 18-19, 11 a.m. to midnight, and Aug. 20, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the Erie Art Museum, 20 E. Fifth St. The museum is hosting the event in conjunction with Bayfront Tattoo Lounge, a museum official said. Admission is $10 per day, with additional costs for tattoos.

What is Erie Live Tattoo Gallery?

The gallery will feature tattoo artists from the Erie area and around the county. It will expose Erieites to new and interesting ink, according to the event website.

In addition to tattoos, there will be bands, models, glass-blowing and vendors of food, drink, clothing, artwork, jewelry and more.

Who will do the tattooing?

The list of tattooers and piercers on the mobile version of the event's website, as of Aug. 7, included Chris Nice; Jeremiah Wrucke; Hew Hoffman; Brayden Rutter; Levi Ropp; Jeff Zalesak; Mo Schreffler; Liz Aulenbacher; Josh Honeycutt; Martin Melendrez; Phil Olivera; Marc McLaughlin; Eddie Findura; Jon Erickson; Hunter Byerly; Andrea Quinn; Jeremy Brown; Karmon Parker; Justin Eldridge; James Sale; Mika Bartosiewicz; Michael Demary and Alexandra Fische.

Organizers recommend booking an appointment for those who want to get a piece done by a specific tattooer. Bookings can be made with the tattooers through their Instagram accounts, according to the event website. Costs for a tattoo vary.

What bands will be playing?

Bands scheduled to perform Aug. 18 are Re$inate, Eden On Fire, Tear From Grace, Scarred Like Us and Titrate the Terror.

The Aug. 19 lineup includes From The Fallout, Do Not Call List, Odd Atrocity, Fast Fall and Gelatin Skeleton.
