After so much traveling and trouble, McCall seems to have finally found a place he can call home, a small village in Southern Italy. Too bad the place is run by some local mobsters who won’t let McCall enjoy his retirement. After witnessing their abuse of the locals, McCall takes the matter into his own hands and takes out the mobsters. With the vicious style that sets him apart, McCall hunts down the Quaranta brothers who were running the illegal operations by stabbing the younger one, Marco, and forcing the eldest, Vincent, to taste a bit of his own medicine (drug dealing) and overdose. Ultimately, McCall can enjoy the Italian seaside, with the locals celebrating their freedom from the mobsters’ tyranny in The Equalizer 3 ending.
Will there be another Equalizer movie?
The Equalizer 3 has been promoted as the last film following Robert McCall.
Fans of the lethal character portrayed by Washington might be disappointed to hear that there are no plans for a sequel currently. However, producers might always change their minds depending on how well the film will fare during its theatrical release. A good box office haul can open the door for more stories. Alternatively, the franchise can explore other stories, like the career of Dakota Fanning‘s Emma Collins. The fans’ attention and interest in more Equalizer content will be pivotal in any potential sequels or spin-offs.
