On Tuesday, roughly 150 students, ranging from fifth graders to kindergarteners, will receive free toys as part of a giveaway sponsored by Pacers Sports & Entertainment and toy manufacturer Jakks Pacific at Lincoln School in Evansville.

The Evansville Police Department announced in a news release from EPD Officer Taylor Merriss that members of the agency would be helping out at the event.

"Evansville has been lucky enough to be included in this program for the past 10 years and is one of only eight total cities in Indiana to be selected this year," Merriss said.

This is the 12th year in a row the PS&E-JAKKS Pacific toy giveaway has taken place. More than 80 nonprofit organizations around the state of Indiana participated this year, per a press release from the Indiana Pacers.

Participating children will not only get a new toy, but will get to meet and take photos with Pacers' mascot Boomer and Indiana Fever mascot Freddy Fever. The Pacers Pastmates and a few Pacers staff are expected to be at the event as well.

The giveaway starts at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at Lincoln School.
