Enrique Iglesias Sells Music Catalog to Influence Media in Reported Nine-Figure Deal

Singer-songwriter Enrique Iglesias and music rights platform Influence Media Partners have announced a new major partnership deal spanning his professional career along with name, image, and likeness rights to expand future licensing opportunities. The deal includes his pre-2021 masters (released by Universal and independents); Bloomberg reports that the deal, which is the first name-image-likeness deal for Influence Media, was for nine figures; reps declined comment on the financials.

“My songs hold immense significance for both my fans and me. I’m excited to be working with the Influence Media team. I feel confident we will build an enduring partnership for my music and future projects,” said Iglesias.

Iglesias was represented by Mitch Tenzer and John Branca from Ziffren Brittenham LLP; Influence was represented by Lisa Alter from Alter, Kendrick and Baron.

This announcement arrives during the artist’s “Trilogy” North American tour. He recently scored a No. 1 single on Billboard’s Latin chart for his new song, “Así Es La Vida,” the first single from his forthcoming album, due in February.

Influence has invested in over 26 catalogs, including Blake Shelton, Future, Julia Michaels, The Stereotypes, Ali Tamposi, Skyler Stonestreet, Harry Styles co-writer Tyler Johnson and more.
